My lots of client ask why their emails go into spam. Im not an expert on that but assigning a dedicated ip and setting up dmrac in addition to SPF & DKIM doesn't solves the problem. Does anybody has sure shot of method specially with respect to gmail.

  • Yes, kindly confirm that you have white listed Ip for your mail servers also make sure to add SPF record for the domain which will help you to improve the mail delivery of your email ids

Most often times people don't have the proper records setup and in place when sending emails.

We have had this from major companies emails not getting to us due to records and basic things not being configured correctly on their end.
After that you need to whitelist your IP with some providers so they accept them. Takes a bit of work.

There is no sure method. If Gmail users report your email for spam, then you can do nothing to avoid the spam folder. One day your emails go to inbox, another it could be spam. You should monitor sending carefully and your IP reputation. Start with a few emails per day and increase it slowly.

Use a blacklist checker online to see if you are blacklisted anywhere. If you are blacklisted, correct the issue and contact the website company that says you are blacklisted.

In case with Gmail you're absolutely right.

I can suggest getting dedicated mail hosting, as chances to not get blacklisted dramatically increases in such case.

  • As mentioned, having the proper DKIM and SPF records along with an IP address that is not blacklisted helps a lot. Looking at the failure message you receive (or your customers in this case) and even the message headers will usually give you the insight you need to fix the issue(s).
